So grandma fell trying to get into the garden the other night and hit her face on the fence and sliced her cheek open amongst other minor things. Mom took her into Convenient Care to get her stitched up. 5 or 6 stitches in her left cheek! She looks like someone beat her up, she bashed up her knee pretty good too! She already has a hard time walking so this only made it harder for her. Dad comes over yesterday after being over there seeing how she was walking and all and says to me "I think it's time they sold their house and moved in with us!" She has such a hard time getting around and she just can't to it all anymore...mind you grandpa is there too but he has his days as well. I thought sure Dad that sounds good in theory but try convincing them of that! The whole thing just really got me thinking though. I am really close to my grandparents and always have been. Thinking that one of these days grandma won't be here anymore...not a day I am looking forward to in the least bit! I help them out quite a bit as well as they do for me. The boys love going over there as well and I know it will be hard on them as well. Then there's grandpa who would be a complete mess if she were to go before him, as it is lately he gets very upset and cries whenever something happens to her cause he very well knows that one of these times something bad will happen and he will be alone. Anyways we visit them often especially now in the summer as they still plant a garden but at times have a hard time harvesting it! I am glad I can help them because there are others in our family (you know who you are!) that only come to see grandma and grandpa when they want something and never just to bring the kids to visit them which is really what would make them happy!
